Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Vyber iOS app, the Vyber Mac companion, and vybercode.net. The headline, stated plainly: your source code and your Claude Code transcripts never leave your Mac. The companion reads them locally to produce short summaries and routes decisions to your phone. We sync state, not source.

What we collect and why

• Account data. Your email address and sign-in identity when you create an account with Sign in with Apple or Google. Used to link your devices and contact you about your account.
• Machine and session metadata. To render your fleet on your phone: paired Mac names and platform info, companion version, online status; per session — the project name and path, git branch, model in use, session state (working / needs you / idle / done / error), start and update times, and best-effort token-usage estimates.
• Activity summaries. Short text summaries of what an agent is doing (capped at 200 characters) and a throttled feed of recent events. These are digests, not transcripts.
• Interrupts and your decisions. When an agent needs you, the interrupt's content syncs: for permissions, the tool name, command, working directory, and the agent's stated reason; for questions, the question text; for reviews, the changed-file list and line counts. Your responses (approve / deny / reply text / steering prompts) sync back to your Mac.
• Diffs — only when you enable review. Mobile diff review transmits the specific diffs presented for review (truncated at 100KB per file) over TLS so your phone can display them. Turn review off and file contents never leave your machine.
• Push tokens. Device tokens so Apple's notification service can deliver interrupts to your iPhone.
• Purchase state. Your subscription tier (Free or Pro) and entitlement status, processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your card details.
• Product analytics. Feature-usage events tied to your account — for example pairing success, time from interrupt to resolution, and paywall conversion — used to make the product work and improve it. On the website we use Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool that does not track you across sites.
• Waitlist and support. If you join the waitlist: your email, signup time, referrer, and your answer to the parallel-sessions question. If you contact support: your email, message, category, and app version if you provide it.

What we never collect

• Your repository contents. The companion never uploads your codebase.
• Your Claude Code transcripts or raw terminal streams. They are read locally, on your Mac, read-only.
• Your Anthropic credentials. Vyber never sees, stores, or proxies your Anthropic account.
• Anything at all while the companion is stopped.

Where data lives

Synced state is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and related Google Cloud services) in the United States, scoped to your account and protected by security rules so only your authenticated devices can read it. Push notifications are delivered through Apple's APNs. Payments are processed by Apple; subscription entitlements by RevenueCat.

What we don't do with it

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share it only with the processors named above (Google, Apple, RevenueCat, Plausible), and only so the product can function.

Retention and deletion

Session events, interrupts, and diffs are capped and pruned automatically as new activity arrives. Deleting your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete) removes your account and synced data from our systems immediately. Waitlist and support records are deleted on request — email support@vybercode.net.

Children

Vyber is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email support@vybercode.net and we'll delete it.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Email support@vybercode.net and we'll handle it — no forms, no dark patterns. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll email account holders and update the date above before the change takes effect.
