Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This policy covers the Vyber iOS app, the Vyber Mac companion, and vybercode.net. The short version: your source code stays on your Mac, we collect the minimum needed to route interrupts to your phone, and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers. Ever.
What we collect
- Account data. Your email address and sign-in identity (Apple or Google) when you create an account.
- Waitlist data. If you join the waitlist: your email, when you signed up, the page that referred you, and your answer to the parallel-sessions question.
- Session metadata. To power the fleet board and interrupt inbox, the companion syncs: project and branch names, session state, short activity summaries, permission requests (tool name, command, the agent's stated reason), questions the agent asks, and your responses.
- Diffs, only if you enable review. When you use mobile diff review, the specific diffs presented for review are transmitted over TLS and stored so your phone can display them. Disable diff review and file contents never leave your machine.
- Usage estimates. Best-effort token and cost figures observable from your local Claude Code transcripts, used for burn tracking.
- Product analytics. On the website we use Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool that does not track you across sites. In the apps we measure feature usage (e.g. interrupt resolution time) tied to your account, to make the product work and improve it.
What we never collect
- Your repository contents. The companion never uploads your codebase.
- Raw terminal streams or full Claude Code transcripts.
- Your Anthropic credentials. Vyber never sees or proxies your Anthropic account.
- Anything from your Mac while the companion is stopped.
Where data lives
Synced state is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) in the United States, scoped to your account and protected by security rules so only your authenticated devices can read it. Push notifications are delivered through Apple's APNs. Payments are processed by Apple and RevenueCat; we never see your card details.
Retention and deletion
Session events and interrupts are capped and pruned automatically. Delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete) and we remove your synced data within 30 days. Waitlist entries are deleted on request — email privacy@vybercode.net.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email privacy@vybercode.net and we'll handle it — no forms, no dark patterns.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll email account holders and note it here before the change takes effect.
